    The Baladerry Inn Bed and Breakfast is located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a city riddled with great American History.

    Our Inn is an wonderful choice for your stay in the historic Gettysburg, as well as the Pennsylvania’s Adams County surrounding area. The Baladerry Inn offers comfort and in a unique country setting at the edge of the Gettysburg battlefield, and convenience by being in close proximity to restaurants and attractions in town.

    The property features an expansive landscape and terraces outdoors, and a stately great room, fine furniture and carefully decorated guestrooms inside.

    The Baladerry Inn has a rich history as well. The first part of the home was constructed in 1812, and in 1830, the rest of the main house was added. The home was originally a tenant farmer’s house, then occupied by George Bushman's son. The Bushman Farm was a field hospital for the Army of the Potomac during the Battle of Gettysburg.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Most of our guests are interested in the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that we offer.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We are known best for the cleanliness and friendly hospitality. We are unique because we are in the country where it is quiet and still close to town and the tourist area. I love that we have a lot of common areas for the guests to enjoy. They have their rooms, but also the property outside and the great room, dining room and the family room.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The #1 reason to visit Gettysburg is for the Gettysburg Battlefield, it's a must see! Visitors also enjoy all the quaint shops in town.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    We love compliments, but the best ones are about our friendly hospitality and the cleanliness of our inn.

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    The best kept secret in Gettysburg is its abundance of antique shops!

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    For those staying longer than a weekend we recommend they make a day trip to Harpers Ferry, visit Hershey Park Chocolate Factory, the New Oxford antique shops and the Battlefield.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    The Battlefield is only one mile and it is a quiet and peaceful walk.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    The Dobbin House is the number one restaurant to visit while here, but there are so many others that are great as well.

    Breakfast at the Baladerry Inn, GettysburgOur full country breakfasts only rival our guestrooms and facilities in popularity. Breakfast is served both in the Great Room and, in season, on the terrace. The dining area features individual tables. The selections vary from day to day. One of our delicious breakfasts features Minted Citrus, Stuffed French Toast with Apricot Sauce, Sausage, and Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins. Another features Warm Fruit Compote, Crepes Suzinn with Bacon Garnish, and Sour Cream Streusel Coffeecake. Crepes Suzinn is our signature dish, a homemade egg and bacon filled crepe topped with melted cheddar cheese mixed with toasted onion and fresh chives. Coffee, tea and juices are always included, of course. Special meals are available for guests with low fat, restricted, or vegetarian diets. Complimentary hot and cold drinks available 24 hours a day.

    The Baladerry Inn is easy to reach and convenient to U.S. Route 15, the National Park Visitors Center, and Lincoln Square.
